went again this morning. did not hate it quite as much.
still suck at it, but didn’t have to sit down/come out of a pose as often.
body feels very different afterward though, in a good way. brain too – but that is slightly worrisome for a control freak like me.
the jury is still out.

I have actually started doing hot yoga – i have been at it about a month now and am addicted – i had the reservations at first (too sweaty – too scary – i will faint) but now i prefer it to regular yoga – you feel incredible afterwards, cleansed and its good for your skin! I dont do bikram though – I do regular vinyasa but in a hot studio – love it – could not recommend it more. I think its good for peace of mind and body

I hate that for some damn reason I have been struggling for months with being able to comment on your blog. I am struggling with technical difficulties with my phone as it relates to wordpress blogs (I am sure there is some proprietary software issue underneath it all in my google reader). Hot Yoga is a pretty intense experience because it is also a lot of detox and for beginners some times you feel like crap and think you hate it…but, but, but a lot of that is because your body is working this stuff very physically through your body and out of your system. I would stay with it – at least for a bit and see what becomes of it. If you feel like the fire yoga is not for you, don’t write off yoga entirely because there are many other styles and practices. Personally, I am not a hot yoga groupie – I have found other paths and styles more fitting with who I am and what my body likes. I have done and will do hot yoga in the future – but for me it is something that I may do once or twice a month. BUT I have never had access to a really good Bikram studio…which I KNOW you live in the metaphorical Belt Buckle of the Yoga Belt of Western Yoga studios. So not to be a nag or a royal a-hole, but DO IT, DO IT, DO IT…it is soooooo good for brain and body. It may kind of suck now, but soon you are going to be in an asana and have this earth shattering amazing new pose or stretch and feel ammmmmmmmaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzz-ing. And now all week when I practice, I will think of you. Now please continue kicking ass, wonderwoman!
