Hi – and welcome!   This is the story of a California gal (that would be me) raising my Habesha child, Elsabet – who I call Elsa…   (Habesha is a term of pride that Ethiopians use to refer to themselves. Elsa is habesha, but I will (sadly) remain a ferenge (foreigner/white chick) for all of my days.)
