new year, new life

so… it’s been a while.

and let me tell you – a lot of shite has gone down since we last talked.

updates to follow.  trying to gather thoughts and figure out how to start up here again without (1) feeling like I have to recap the entire last year (short version = bad), and (2) oversharing.

but we are doing better.  much better, actually.

i haven’t had any time to post.

don’t know what’s up.   the universe is shifting or something.

but there are really big things happening all around me…  easily half the people I know are experiencing something big right now.  including me.

so far, it all seems like goodness though – so perhaps i’ll just go with it.

and try to squeeze in a little blogging time in every once in a while.

playdate

Elsa’s been in preschool for months now, and I’ve been a little slow to connect with other families there. It’s hard when you are a working mom and most of the moms get to know each other by going to coffee at 10 in the morning at the local Starbucks.

But, we’ve recently connected with the family of one of Elsa’s friends, Sonya. Her parents are cool, and she even has a little brother Jay  (who Elsa has a little crush on, I think). We had a playdate with them on Sunday – so nice to feel a little bit more connected.

I have a frillion awesome photos from this past weekend, when Katie B and Isa came for a visit. There is also a hilarious (well, to me) video of the girls putting on their sunglasses and pretending to go to Ikea.

We had a blast.  Will post soon, I promise.

For some reason, my week is moving in warp speed and I started out already behind.  Good God, it’s like everyone at my whole company is on hyperdrive.
